BMW drive-box cover assembly and leakage tester equipment
The equipment can assemble and test the leakage of aluminum casting drive-box cover of BMW cars. This special purpose machine includes four nests which makes the equipment capable for assembling and testing of three types of casting. That casting which is produced in the highest piece-number, it is assembled in two nests formed in the same way. The products are moved on conveyors.
The process of the assembling and testing:
The operator places the casting into that nest which fits to the type. The cycle is started with the start push-button. The device closes to the casting. The casting is fixed with pneumatically moved work-cylinder. The TOX hydropneumatic press-unit – moved by servo-motor – presse a closing cap into a technology hole. The pressing force and way are checked. The further technology holes are closed by pneumatically moved work-cylinders. The working area is filled with air, then an ATEQ leakage tester measures the pressure-drop. If the casting is OK, it is marked with “D” marking-dye. The device opens at the end of the assembling and testing cycle. In case of wrong piece the device opens only after fault-acknowledgement. The wrong parts are collected in a waste-storage. The equipment has three conveyors. Given casting-types can be loaded only to the correct conveyor. At the end of the conveyor, the operator places the parts selected by type into the shipping container. The equipment is controlled by Omron PLC.
The pneumatic elements are Festo, the servo is Mitsubishi
Our corporate philosophy
"Common law of business balance
It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little.
When you pay too much, you lose a little money – that is all.
When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot – it can't be done.
If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”
